How do I apply the Wall Decal?

It is quite simple to apply one of our lovely decals. We send detailed written instructions with our decals. Remember to go slow! Please view the following instructional video:

Are decals like stickers?

Yes; however, we like to think of them as "high end" stickers that appear as if someone has painted a design on your wall. They are made of high quality vinyl with adhesive backing and are each hand-prepped for transfer. We offer designs that we feel will appeal to customers that appreciate modern design.

Are the decals removable?

Yes our decals are removable. Just peel them away when you are done with them. If the decal has been sitting on the surface for a while, it can be challenging to remove. In that case, use a hair dryer set to low heat on the decal to release the adhesive material from the surface.

I just painted my walls, can I place a decal right away?

We recommend that you wait at least two weeks after painting to apply one of our decals. The surface must be dry for the decal to adhere properly.

Are the decals reusable?

No, they are not reusable. Our recommendation, if you want to keep your decal portable is to apply it on a photo frame or a canvas. This way, you can create a custom work of art that you can take with you anywhere. Please note, applying any decal on canvas is delicate work as canvas is a porous material. If your canvas is painted, you may get better performance out of the decal. Please give yourself enough time when working with decals on any surface. If you have questions or concerns about mediums that work best with our decals, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or telephone.

Can they work on glass?

Yes, they do and the flat surface of glass makes installation really easy. Metallic colors look particularly elegant on glass. Keep in mind that the vinyl adheres to glass very quickly, so you can't easily preposition. If you go slow, you'll be fine.

Do your decals work on textured walls?

Generally our decals work on all smooth or semi-smooth surfaces that are not too gritty or bumpy. The glue backing the vinyl needs enough of a surface to grip so it can stay in place. The rule of thumb is to apply decals on a smooth and dry surface. With each order we include a small decal for you to test on the surface you are going to apply the main decal. If the small decal sticks, then you can be assured of the larger decal sticking.

Do your decals adhere on all painted surfaces?

Yes, generally speaking you can apply our decals on any surface painted using commonly found interior paints. If you have a faux wall or if you use magnetic or sand-like paint, you may have some difficulty. As always, we include a small decal with every order we ship so you can test your surface before applying the decal.

My decal is peeling off the wall. What can I do?

This generally happens if the wall is not flat and smooth enough. It can also happen if the wall was not clean when the decal was applied or if there is a lot of humidity in the area where the decal was placed. You could try to use a washable glue such as glue stick or rubber cement on the back of the decal and reattach it to the wall. Please note that we cannot guarantee the decal will not damage your wall if you choose to apply additional adhesive.

Will your decals damage my walls?

Our decals are made from vinyl that contains a water-based adhesive meant to be removable and not leave a residue. However, we cant guarantee that there will be no damage to your paint.

Can we use your decals on our cars?

Yes, you can. When ordering a decal for your vehicle, we recommend a glossy decal or any of our outdoor quality vinyl. Our matte vinyls will work too but may not last as long under harsh weather. Furthermore, please mention at time of checkout if you want us to reverse the decal design so you can place it on the inside of your vehicle.

Can we customize a design?

Yes, use the contact page to shoot us an email or call us. There may be a small design fee depending on the complexity of the design. We will customize basic English lettering at no additional cost.

How are your decals made?

Using a combination of hand drawings and computer aided design, we prepare our decals for production. Once we are satisfied with the design and checked it for correctness, we use a vinyl cutting machine to produce the final product. Additional work is done to separate the design from the vinyl and preparing it for application and shipping. It is a delicate process that calls for for accuracy. We do all of our own work in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

Do your decals start falling off the walls after a few months?

Our decals are made using premium vinyl. The general life expectancy of decals is about 4-years. However, they can last indoors for as long as 7-years.

How long does it take to apply them?

Please allot 2-3 hours for your first installation, you might want to have a friend assist you. Keep in mind, that our designs are very intricate and the larger, more detailed calligraphy will take some time to apply.

Where is my order? It's been over two weeks and my order has not arrived.

We get this question from our International customers. Generally, it can take up to 14 business days to receive shipments sent using our Standard Shipping method. We try our best to ship all our products within 3-7 business days regardless of the shipping destination. We encourage our International customers to use Priority or Express shipping which will include a tracking number and delivery confirmation. Our Standard Shipping does not include tracking or delivery confirmation.

Shipping and Processing

How long does it take to process my order?

Decals: Processing takes 2-7 Business days typically. If we do not have the material for a specific color in stock it may take an additional 5 business days to process your order. If this occurs, we will contact you within 2-business days to inform you of the additional processing time.

Canvas: Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Canvases can only be shipped to USA and Canada.

How much does it cost to ship to Canada?

Shipping charge is about $9 for most orders to Canada and is delivered first class mail without delivery confirmation. Priority shipping is about $35 and includes delivery confirmation. Express shipping is about $45 and includes delivery confirmation.

We cannot guarantee how long Customs will hold the package once it has reached your country and this may effect the delivery time.  Also depending on your local post office we cannot guarantee if they will charge custom and or sale tax on the items. Simply Impressions is not responsible for delays in your shipping and any types of fees incurred upon arrival.

Worldwide shipping

We currently average about $17 for shipping worldwide.

We generally ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS). At time of checkout, you can choose between Standard, Priority, or Express shipping.

We cannot guarantee how long Customs will hold the package once it has reached your country and this may effect the delivery time. Also depending on your local post office we cannot guarantee if they will charge custom and or sale tax on the items. Returns and Exchanges

Can I return my Purchase?

Yes, you can. If you are not 100% satisfied, return the products you purchased within 30-days from the date of purchase. The following is our policy on returns:

  • Returns are valid only for products shipped within the USA.
  • A refund will be issued within 5-business days of receipt of return. There will also be a 20% Fee for the return.
  • All items must be in its original condition and unused and to be returned in mailing tube (free mailing boxes can be picked up from your local USPS) or similar packaging that it was received in. We ask that you carefully role the returned decal and place back into the plastic bag- failing to do this will incur charges.
  • All return shipping costs must be paid for by the customer.
  • Simply Impressions cannot be held responsible for return items lost in transit. We encourage you to return the items to us using a tractable method.
  • Discounted items and sale items cannot be returned for a refund.
  • Custom designs cannot be returned or refunded.

My Purchase was damaged in the mail, can I get a new one?

Yes, you can. Just contact us via telephone or email and provide a picture of the damaged shipment ie the damaged shipping box and it content- Failure to provide images may result in not getting a replacement. Furthermore, we ask that you dispose of any damaged decals respectfully following acceptable Islamic ways. One way to dispose of the decal is to cut it into pieces such that it does not represent the arabic language then dispose of it in any manner.

Can I exchange my purchase for another one?

Unless defective, we do not exchange decals or giclees or wood items. If you have an exceptional case, please do contact us and we will be happy to work with you.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can. All cancellations must be made within 24-hours from the date of purchase.
